Ottawa Arts Review 5.1 Launch

The Ottawa Arts Review (OAR), the small literary and visual arts journal run out of the University of Ottawa, is launching its new issue tomorrow at the campus bar 1848 at 5:30pm.

I have been serving as the associate editor for the journal since October (although this is not reflected on our website; some staffing issues have delayed our updating it) and so this is my first issue with the review. It is also my first editorial publication of any kind. The issue does, however, also feature an 8-page essay of mine. It's a fairly hardcore yet entertaining critical "Re/view" of a forthcoming debut book of poetry, Until You Make the Shore by Cameron Conaway.

As I've said, the OAR website isn't updated, but you can find submission guidelines and so on, and contact information if you're interested in ordering a copy. Or, if you happen to be in Ottawa, you can come out for the launch or pick up your copy at some other time.

Anyway, it's all quite exciting.
